Cream Of Broccoli - Chicken Soup

2 cups broccoli
1/2 teas dried thyme
2 Tbls flour
White pepper
1 small bay leaf
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
2 Tbls butter, plus
Bits of chicken

Cook broccoli with thyme, bay leaf, white pepper, chicken broth, and butter until tender.

Puree above. Melt more butter in pot, add flour then milk and soup base. Mix well. Adjust seasonings and consistency. Add chicken pieces.

Serves about 3 or 4.
