Luscious Apple Pie

1 pie crust, need a top and bottom
5 cups peeled, sliced tart apples
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
2 tablespoons orange flavored liquor (Grand Marnier)
or 1 teaspoon orange extract
2 tablespoons almond liqueur or 1 teaspoon almond extract
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
Whipped Cream or Vanilla Ice Cream

Preheat oven to 350* F. Mix cinnamon, sugars and flour in a large bowl. Add lemon and orange peels and blend well. Mix in apple slices then liquors or extracts. Place in pie crust then top with chunks of the butter or margarine. Top with pie crust lid and make slits for the steam to rise from the baking pie.

Bake for about one hour or until the crust is golden brown.

Remove from oven and let cool.

Serve warm or cold and topped with Whipped Cream or Vanilla Ice Cream (or both)
